Soft and hard tokens represent the two primary methods that users can choose between to achieve TLS authentication with VirtuCrypt services. This document provides a brief overview of each method, including the advantages and disadvantages of each. Although both methods are effective at authenticating user identities, it is recommended by VirtuCrypt that users select hard tokens when possible, for the reasons discussed in this document.
